After the great success of its “New Life” Laboratory dedicated to heirloom chairs in need of a facelift last November in Milan, the interior designer Nicoletta Gatti launches Renaissance Rehab “On the Road” a six-stage tour – Turin, Genoa, Florence, Rome, Naples and Bari – to enhance Italian craftsmanship, through the recovery of well-loved heirloom chairs.
The project, which will take place in autumn 2020, pays homage to and supports Italian artisanal expertise of master re-upholsterers and the creativity of four celebrated Italian textile houses, which will provide a selection of out-of-catalog fabrics:
- BROCHIER (prints)
- C&C MILANO (natural and neutral)
- DEDAR (stripes and geometric patterns)
- RUBELLI (classics, jacquards, lampassi etc…)
Each event will be a laboratory in “tailoring” dedicated to the recovery of well-loved heirloom chairs. The public is invited to attend without appointment and to work collaboratively with Ms. Gatti to create renewed, bespoke pieces.
The events will be organized in conformity with the latest regulations regarding Covid-19.
